Live Roulette Strategy
Live-dealer roulette streams a physical wheel to your browser. Same math as in-person play. Slower pace makes bankrolls last longer.
What live roulette is
A real dealer spinning a real wheel, broadcast in HD to your browser. You place bets through the interface; the outcome is determined by the physical spin.
Used by most major online casinos as their premium roulette offering.
Pace of play
Live tables run ~30-45 spins per hour - similar to in-person tables, sometimes faster on Speed Roulette variants. See Speed Roulette.
Slower than RNG online (60-120 spins/hour) but the same wheel math.
Strategy implications
No difference from physical-table strategy. Same wheels, same payouts, same house edge. The advantage of live over RNG is just trust - you can see the wheel spin.
Run strategies in the tester using European or American as appropriate.
Specific live variants
- Lightning Roulette - multipliers on straight-up bets.
- Speed Roulette - faster spin cycle.
- Immersive Roulette - HD broadcast, no math difference.
- Auto Roulette - no dealer, automated wheel, same math as RNG European.
Live vs in-person
Same math. Live can have slightly different table minimums and limits. Tipping is not expected online but is at physical tables.
